if i lock and later unlock my kde desktop, or if i boot up my system new, i allway have to run "pavucontrol" > configuration and set the profile to "digital stereo (iec958)". if i do not, it allways fall back to hdmi output. how can i change this allways to "digital stereo (iec958)" ?

Looks like this is pulseaudio issue https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/-/issues/950

If you do not need automatic switching to plugged devices, disabling module-switch-on-port-available is one of workarounds.
