Hi,
When I hit reply with a quote, I see the quoting block including my own quotes written in one line, even if I explicitly hit Enter after the "quote" tag.

Is there a reason for such misformatting?

Thank you.

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean exactly.

Could you give us an example of a post where this happens, or include one here?

Hi,
Sorry for the long delay.

Lets say I have an OP which goes:

Quote:

Hi, ALL,
Sentence1. Sentence2.
Sentence3.

Sentence4. Sentence5.

Then someone sees it and reply to it

Then I see a reply, and want to reply. However, when I hit "quote" button I see following:

Quote:

"quote="ONEEYEMAN""Sentence1. Sentence2. Sentence3. Sentence4. Sentence5"/quote"

So, I see my original post with screwed formatting on the "Reply with quote" screen. I.e instead of 5 lines I see just 1 line of text.

Thank you;

P.S.: I have a screenshot, but there no "Attachment" button...

The above is the text of your post as embedded by the quote button, with absolutely zero editing. All formatting was preserved.

Browser-specific or otherwise unusual behavior on your end, perhaps? Or have I misunderstood your question? :?

Looking at this again, I noticed something odd: The [quote] tags above are malformed. All [ and ] characters in the tags have been replaced by double quotes, highlighted above.

This probably bears some relation to (though is not directly responsible for) whitespace in the post getting collapsed. Has something that can transform request/response content, such a script or proxy, been introduced to the channel between the forums and you?

Hi,
You should change the " to square braces.
I can't use square braces because it will not be displayed correctly. So I substituted them with quotes

Now the problem is that as you can see I did have \n\r in the original text, but when I try to quote in the reply - they are gone.

Thank you.
