|
|
Hi there!
Just emerged avuDN world and all the devices (internal and external) gone from Dolphin left pane.
It was a very short list of updated packages:
Code: | app-crypt/gpgme
net-misc/rsync
sys-apps/hwids |
How does it affected Dolphin's pane and how do I get devices back?
Added: emerge --info dolphin shows:
Code: | kde-apps/dolphin-21.04.3::gentoo was built with the following:
USE="activities -debug -handbook -semantic-desktop -telemetry -test" ABI_X86="(64)"
FEATURES="multilib-strict sandbox distlocks ebuild-locks parallel-fetch protect-owned pid-sandbox usersync binpkg-dostrip ipc-sandbox assume-digests preserve-libs binpkg-logs news unmerge-logs userfetch unknown-features-warn network-sandbox usersandbox config-protect-if-modified qa-unresolved-soname-deps sfperms userpriv fixlafiles unmerge-orphans xattr strict binpkg-docompress merge-sync"

Maybe revert to the pre-update version of
sys-apps/hwids
From among the three this seems like the possible culprit.
BUT as it turns out therr is only one version of it available.
What happened to me was
hwids[udev] was blocking sys-fs/udev so it was removed.
Then i did reboot and opened thunar but i had all the devices on the left pane.
It IS possible to
Code: |
USE="-udev" emerge -av hwids
|
but do we need it?
Maybe a more experienced user can advice us on that. _________________
