Hallo zusammen,
eben habe ich mal wieder emerge --sync ausgeführt:
1 Paket: gentoo-kernel-bin-5.16.18-r1.
Was mir sofort aufgefallen ist, daß virtual/dist-kernel fehlt.
Zudem ist an keiner Stelle -r1 vermerkt, sondern es sieht alles so aus
wie beim gentoo-kernel-bin 5.16.18.
Soll ich diesen -r1-Kernel dennoch installieren oder noch warten bis virtual/dist-kernel noch kommt?

ja, solltest du. Vermutlich wird es gar kein virtual/dist-kernel mit r1 geben, da das dnur ein virtuelles paket ist |

Ja, fürs virtual/dist-kernel-5.16.18.ebuild wird kein Revisionsbump benötigt.
Ein Blick ins ebuild hilft -> Code: | less `equery w virtual/dist-kernel-5.16.18` | Die Tilde beim
~sys-kernel/gentoo-kernel-bin-${PV}
meint, das auch Revisionen wie sys-kernel/gentoo-kernel-bin-5.16.18-r1 -r2 usw akzeptiert werden.

Jo, die -r1 Revision hat einen Patch für defektes WLAN mit dabei, siehe https://bugs.gentoo.org/835513
