Having trouble launching Phasmophobia on steam

Installed steam per instructions given by the gentoo wiki and installed all proton versions and phasmophobia. However, when trying to start it and select "Play Phasmophobia" (out of three options, other two are regarding VR play), i get the steam launch box and it instantly crashes. I tried reinstalling the game, as well as reinstalling steam, but to no avail. Before this issue i had gotten a Unity Error Prompt telling me that DirectX11 couldnt be found. I tried it with every available Proton version aswell.
