Hey,
I have some problems regarding portage lately. I know there are some other threads on these forums (or is it fora? )regarding problems with portage, and they helped me along quite well, but now I seem horribly stuck.
When I try to emerge *anything*, the result is:
Code: |
bash-2.05a# emerge portage
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge dev-python/python-fchksum-1.6.1 to /
>>> Downloading http://mirrors.sunsite.dk/gentoo/distfiles/python-fchksum-1.6.1.tar.gz
--14:33:26-- http://mirrors.sunsite.dk/gentoo/distfiles/python-fchksum-1.6.1.tar.gz
=> `/usr/portage/distfiles/python-fchksum-1.6.1.tar.gz'
Resolving mirrors.sunsite.dk... done.
Connecting to mirrors.sunsite.dk[130.225.247.90]:80... !!! Portage interrupted by SIGINT; exiting.
|
I tried changing the mirror, tried changing the $PROXY variable, tried everything I could think off... but to no avail
thnx in advance, TheMole _________________ "Nevermore" - The Raven |

Yeah, there were some drastic changes in portage from RC6 to 1.0. I would say your best off taking a peek in /usr/portage/sys-apps/portage/files, and reading the README.RESCUE file located there.
By the way, you can rsync right? If you can't rsync, then you don't have the new tarballs there. Also, just for future reference, what version of portage are you running? _________________ - Kyle Manna
