|
|
I use i3wm with pipewire and tws bluetooth headphones. In other distros when I start games through wine the bluetooth phone is recognized, but not in gentoo. Both sound and bluetooth operate normally, only wine does not detect the bluetooth output. I'm using virtual/wine with all flags enabled. Does anyone know how to make wine detect my tws headphones? Thanks.

Hi,

virtual/wine is a virtual package that pulls in another wine package. Please be more specific. |

Virtual/wine 0-r10 is with wine-7.0 (Proton-7.0-6)
This is the version used |

You are using pipewire, but pipewire does not have a native driver for wine.
I think you must enable the pulseaudio useflag for the wine-proton package. This will pull in media-libs/libpulse.
On the pipewire wiki page we can read :
Quote: |
Then, if using PipeWire as a replacement for the PulseAudio sound server:
- Specify the -daemon USE flag on media-sound/pulseaudio, and ensure media-sound/pulseaudio-daemon is not installed. This is necessary to avoid issues resulting from running more than one sound server.
- Ensure media-libs/libpulse is installed, which will allow PipeWire to emulate a PulseAudio sound server. Not many applications currently support PipeWire's native API.
- Ensure the pulseaudio USE flag is still set globally.

Thank you very much. I swear I tried to read the documents of all the packages involved in this problem (wine, pipewire, bluez) but I didn't notice this one because of wine-proton. Was looking at the virtual/wine flags. I'm a new user on Gentoo. Sorry for my inattention and thanks again. Problem Solved |
