I submitted dev-raku/App-Prove6 for src_test in rakudo.eclass and dev-raku/Inline-Perl5 for interoperation with Perl 5.

Since Inline-Perl5 builds its shared C library with dev-raku/Distribution-Builder-MakeFromJSON, dev-raku/Inline-Perl5 is very simple.

dev-raku/App-Prove6 is also very simple. My overlay also has dev-raku/zef for building and installing raku modules for development purposes.

I discovered that raku language provides install-dist.raku which installs raku modules cleanly without any boilerplate.

I think gentoo overlay should take rakudo.eclass, dev-lang/rakudo, and dev-raku/* from my overlay.

rakudo.eclass has been perfected in my overlay. dev-raku/* packages also look concise and clean.

You might want to discuss helping maintain raku with the current maintainer.

Patrick Lauer has been unresponsive on https://bugs.gentoo.org/827802
Man, I can tell you that rakudo.eclass is perfect now. It is written in less than 60 lines.
raku packages are also very simple.

Raku developers really thought through everything and simplified its complex module system as much as possible for users.

Thanks! I have voted for bug #827802. Please let me know if I can help in any way. I do really like Raku language! :)

I have successfully installed dev-lang/rakudo-2023.06-r1 from amano-kenji overlay. There is a pull request from amano-kenji in the Official Gentoo ebuild repository. I wonder if this pull request could be merged.
