I am trying to get Steam working on one of my Gentoo installs (LLVM+glibc). I am using X11 (i3) and the proprietary Nvidia drivers (version 535.154.05 from Portage). Whenever I run Steam I am able to sign in but before the client proper (as opposed to the login screen) starts there is a segmentation fault. I attach the output of Steam and emerge --info. I think the seg fault could potentially be related to the mmap() failed: Cannot allocate memory lines but I don't know what causes that either. I assume that the preload errors relate to attempting to preload a 32 bit library for 64 bit components and can be safely ignored. There is also a crashdump but wgetpaste won't accept the file. Any help would be most appreciated.

the only way I managed to "workaround" this was to use flatpak-steam _________________ #define HelloWorld int
#define Int main()
#define Return printf
#define Print return
#include <stdio>
HelloWorld Int {
Return("Hello, world!\n");
Print 0; |
