I just compiled dev-java/ant,
but
# ant -version
says
```
Apache Ant(TM) version 1.10.9 compiled on July 14 2022
```
Why it does so, how that happened? |

What's stranger is current version is 1.10.14-r2.
Please provide the output of:
Code: | grep ant /var/log/emerge.log | awk '{ printf strftime("%c: ", $1); $1 = ""; print $0; }' | tail |
EDIT: actually 1.10.9 has been the stable version up until 4 days ago. If you sync and update now, you'll have 1.10.14 compiled today. The above command would only confirm when you last emerged ant.

What is the output of type -P ant ; emerge --info dev-java/ant? I wonder if you have a non-Portage ant being found in preference to what you just installed. |

yes.
Code: |
# LANG="C" ant -version

You still have glibc-2.37.
You better update at least once a couple of months or you're going to run into trouble updating.
You have 5 versions of gcc, do you need all those? If not, you should run emerge --ask --depclean after every update. Review the list of packages to be cleaned up carefully to avoid unmerging something you need. Emerge --noreplace will record the ones you need in world and then you can run emerge --ask --depclean again.
Best Regards,
Georgi |
