Hello there, i can access google services and gentoo.org but no other website.

Before that i got internet access to everyting, (before a "emerge -e" and a "emerge -uDN @world")

but my hdmi screen was not detected and now it's my laptop monitor who is not detected.

I have tried many times to make nvidia drivers work, with installation and some "/etc/portage/package.license" editing.

There are some commands done with the gentoo irc :

Code:
$ curl -I4 https://reddit.com

- Could you please paste the exact output you get in your web browser, please ?

- As said on IRC, I'm not the sharpened tools in the shelf when it's about portage or emerge, but *maybe* giving us the content of it's log would be interesting:

Code:
wgetpaste /var/log/portage/elog/summary.log

Use wgetpaste if it's loo long, otherwise use the forum syntax (code, quote).

As emerge.log:

Code:
wgetpaste /var/log/emerge.log

Use wgetpaste if it's loo long, otherwise use the forum syntax (code, quote).

I'm asking these because so far you might to have «played» around with your system and did executed a few emerge command without to be sure.

You can also paste your history (as root):

Code:
wgetpaste -c 'history'

To get the last commands you did and maybe found the root problem.

Hope that helps.

Regards,
GASPARD DE RENEFORT Kévin

Welcome to the forums.

Web browsers are notorious for terrible error reporting. I prefer the curl output that OP provided.

From the output provided, this looks to me like OP has gotten into a situation where IPv6 works, but IPv4 fails. This is uncommon. For most people, it's the other way around.

OP appears to have an IPv4 private address, which is fairly typical. The timeout, rather than a more direct error, suggests to me that this system has its IPv4 configured properly, but that a device upstream, likely a nearby router, is not passing IPv4 traffic properly.

OP: please show the output of traceroute -4 --tcp -F -n -p 443 reddit.com ; traceroute -6 --tcp -F -n -p 443 reddit.com.

Please try downgrading net-misc/networkmanager to version 1.44.2. Version 1.46.0 has a bug that causes ipv4 to hang: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/1485

Reported as: https://bugs.gentoo.org/926943

I had the same problem, for me the wifi adapter would work every 1 in 10 boots or something. So I just kept rebooting until I got an ipv4 address, then downgraded networkmanager, and have not had this problem since.

If this doesn't work for you, check in /var/cache/distfiles which version of networkmanager you still have the distfile for, then emerge that version.

And i have noticed that at the start of the system : "Error: Nexthop has invalid gateway"

might be the source of the problem[/code]
