Hi

I installed this package, eventually found it in menus (was not in Utilities like other calculators, or even Science and Maths), but when I run it, it asked to select a ROM, I select the default and then does not progress. Seems to loop there.

If I selected "FLASH" option it opens in the correct folder with the GPL ROMs.

Does anyone have this app working? Is it maybe a 32/64 issue?

Thanks, Ian

Did you want a normal calculator for math? Because it seems like this is actually an emulator for real-life models of calculators. Get a different app if you actually wanna do quick math (or just search up "calculator", your search engine probably provides one or a website could too)

If you meant to get an emulator, and it is asking you for ROMs, then you probably need to get one from a website for the specific model you want to emulate. You can probably just search up the name of the model and append 'ROMs' to it to get one.
They probably didn't include any ROMs out of the box because of copyright restrictions.

Then you can probably select them from the menu. If it doesn't work, like you reported the 'default' option not working, you should probably read the documentation like the man page or a text document in the app's files if, on example, you need to put the ROMs in a specific directory. If you're sure about a bug, I think you should report it on the bug tracker of the package on the gentoo packages website, not here https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/sci-calculators/tiemu/bugs .

Thanks.

Perhaps you can install it and tell me what I am doing wrong.
