Installing and Configuring ISDN

I downloaded the basic cd along with the manual but when I tried installing Gentoo the manual assumes that you either have:

a) Connection through network to internet
b) ADSL
c) The 2 Live CD's

The ISDN modem is in my linux box
I dont have ADSL
Downloading these CD's for me is impractical and not an option

Can someone please help me in setting up my ISDN connection and modem.
Please notice that I am a 1st time Linux user and I am very Windows orientated

and I'm using basic CD's cause I wanna learn as much as possible.
