Hi pingtoo,
Thank you. Now I understand the mistake. I configured /etc/fstab and boot file according to the manual. The device should be able to boot from Gentoo now, but it keeps booting with Ubuntu Server. I guess something went wrong with the configuration of the boot file. I used the following manual for these two configurations: https://www.famera.cz/blog/computers/gentoo-minimal-odroid-m1-upstream-kernel-lvm-luks.html
I'll try to figure out what went wrong and I'd love to get your insight as well. |

Please share content for "boot file" and /etc/fstab as well as its file name, last modify date.
"manual" do you mean the URL link in your post? |

Sensei Art,
Please find a way to paste text as oppose to picture. It is hard for me to explain the condition when I need to flip back and force from picture to text to picture.
I am not sure what you trying to achieve by simply look at the fstab because it use UUID and I have nothing that I can reference how the UUID match to partition name.
for example in your first picture about fstab, it show two different UUIDs trying to mount on same location (/). if this is not a mistake then can you explain what you trying to do here?
Also the first line in the fstab I think there is a mistake, there is a double quote character at the end of UUID string. I don't think UUID have that character.
I will need to know what is in /boot, I mean what files are there and their last modify date to use as base for conversation. |
