| Sounds more like policy issue of firefox than firefox compilation issue. |

I think that observation is helpful. It tells us that under the right circumstances, Firefox can do this. It is not the case that the website is using some Chrome-specific functionality.
Building on ritzmax72's comment, does this happen in a clean profile, without any custom security settings or Firefox extensions? |
