I've set up an ARMv7a HardFP chroot for development and was hoping to use valgrind within it, but valgrind fails to run period. The following error is shown if I run it as valgrind --help or even run it with no arguments. I tried exporting the QEMU_RESERVED_VA=4294967296 environment variable, but it didn't have any effect.

==105==     normal when running under Valgrind tools, eg. up to twice or
==105==     more, depending on the tool.  On a 64-bit machine, Valgrind
==105==     should be able to make use of up 32GB memory.  On a 32-bit
==105==     machine, Valgrind should be able to use all the memory available
==105==     to a single process, up to 4GB if that's how you have your
==105==     kernel configured.  Most 32-bit Linux setups allow a maximum of
==105==     3GB per process.

==105==     Whatever the reason, Valgrind cannot continue.  Sorry.
