Hi guys, for months I am having the following issue (the issue survived profile change, kernel changes and various world updates)

If I log in as user X and the "switch" to user Y and then "switch" back to user Xs active session I am hung up on a black screen.
Clean logging in and out works fine. I also varified that it is not a problem with a specific user. I am running 4 users and the problem occurs with any one of them.

I am not running any special settings in /etc/X11. I use nvidia proprietary drivers on a 3050 RTX.

Any ideas what could be the cause of this annoying behaviour ?

BTW I am running a current updated XFCE environment.

Is the problem reproducible with the Nouveau driver? That would rule out problems specific to the nVidia proprietary driver.

Thanks for the hint. With nouveau the issue is gone. Strange that this bug in nvidia-drivers has not been fixed in the last 6 months :(

Nope screensavers are all disabled. Culprit seems to be nvidia-drivers.. With nouveau the issue disappears.
