Hi Experts, I am doing a fresh install and during make install, I am getting below LILO error -
Quote: | livecd /usr/src/linux # make install
INSTALL /boot
Cannot find LILO.
livecd /usr/src/linux #
|
Post this, installed LILO Bootloaded, and then when I do make install, getting below error -
Quote: | livecd /usr/src/linux # make install
INSTALL /boot
Fatal: Cannot open: /etc/lilo.conf
make[1]: *** [arch/x86/Makefile:292: install] Error 1
make: *** [Makefile:234: __sub-make] Error 2
livecd /usr/src/linux #
|
I am not at all sure why this LILO error is showing up. Kernel Version is 6.6.47
Quote: | # eselect kernel list
Available kernel symlink targets:
[1] linux-6.6.47-gentoo *
livecd / # |
Please suggest how to get over this issue. I am completely out of ideas. |

Thanks a Ton Banana, it worked, I am now Able to see the kernel in bootloader. Thanks for your prompt response in getting this sorted. Really appreciate. |
