kile - 2.9.94 does not build anything for me

I rarely used Kile for Latex documents, but I remember it working. Now after upgrading to kde-frameworks-6 and qt6 and kile-2.9.94 I just tried to use it again.
I can edit files sure, but no(*) Latex build works. Just nothing happen when you choose QuickBuild. Just no reaction at all.

(*) One thing that does work is if you select the text and the chose Build -> Quick Preview -> Selection

You could try the same with app-editors/kile-9999 from kde overlay. If it is working as expected there, then all we need to do is identify the fixing commit.
