Until about two weeks ago, iwlwifi/AC 3165 worked perfectly well in my Lenovo ideapad 700-17ISK.
As part of a larger (mostly KDE) update some weeks ago, I noticed that the WiFi icon (KDE networking status icon) would show "disconnected" even when I was connected to a perfectly working WiFi. At the time, I did not debug this further, thought it might be a cosmetic bug and possibly fix itself over a round of updates.
This week, I got and installed another round of mostly KDE (6) updates. Now today I'm working in a different place that only has WiFi (at home / at my usual desk I use wired ethernet).
And it turns out, that right now, I cannot see any WiFi networks.
dmesg shows [only] this related to iwlwifi:

"nmcli d wifi" does not show any networks, though I know for a fact that there's at least one here - the one my phone is using, which I can sort-of help myself with using USB tethering.
How do I go about figuring this out/debugging it further?
The last time I had to touch WiFi stuff in that depth the software stack was completely different. There's no "wl scan" anymore, for instance. |
