After upgrading media-video/pipewire it prints something like
Code: | * Messages for package media-video/pipewire-1.2.5:
* Log file: /var/log/portage/build/media-video/pipewire-1.2.5:20241012-111347.log.gz
* Please restart KWin/Mutter after upgrading PipeWire.

How to do that? |

But without restarting or logging out, thats exactly what I want to avoid, is it possible? |

With regards to KWin, you /can/ do
to restart KWin without logging out, but I suspect it might not be enough for this purpose (I'm not that familiar with pipewire and the likes). _________________ Kindest of regardses. |

That does not work under Wayland.
The same applies for running the r command from Gnome.
