If you don't know the status of the current installation, I can only see two possibilities:

1. to comprehensively recognize the status in order to then upgrade or convert it, or

Thank you! I will give the complete reinstall a try. If that fixes my issues, i will stay with openrc.

Yes, we have only this choice because there is no button. Please be carefully when editing the title (in your first post of this thread) to not reach the limit of the title length.
Usually we add a [Solved] (and should be no problem with this title)
