I am concerned by /boot partition is too small. 500MB
On one of my gentoo systems I have the following partition setup:
Code: |
Device Boot Start End Sectors Size Id Type
/dev/sda1 2048 1026047 1024000 500M 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 1026048 135243775 134217728 64G 83 Linux
/dev/sda3 135243776 1953525167 1818281392 867G 83 Linux
|
Looking at the current installation guide the recommendation is a 1GB /boot partition.
I am a bit worried because I have a lot of time invested in configuring this system?

If you do not want to change your current layout, you can easily keep the 500MB. Just keep an eye on its contents. Like, if you have multiple working kernels to choose from. |
