I believe I have the right driver, but I have no connection.
what's more - wpa-hu doesn't show anyythng, not even the card.
What am I missing?

i'm not aware of wpa-hu, and `e-file wpa-hu` didn't return any results - what package provides it? Or is that a typo, and you meant to write `wpa_gui`?
Anyway, what's the output of `ip a`?
