As there is no proposal yet, it makes me wonder how friendly gentoo is in this respect?
Isn't python intended to be user friendly whatever his mastering level is?

Python is more friendly than some other languages, but any language can be used to write a tool that is hard for newcomers to understand. It may be that the answer you seek can only come from people familiar with Portage specifically, rather than from anyone with a high level of Python mastery. If so, then perhaps none of the people who can help you have seen this thread, or have wanted to spend the time writing up the answers you seek. |
