Hi,
Since Plasma 6 wayland support got much better so I gave it a try again.
What still does not work is standby mode (aka suspend to RAM). It works with X but not with wayland.
When I press the suspend button on my keyboard the lock screen appears after a short time and I can enter the session again with my password, but the sleep mode is not activated.
In /var/log/messages I see no useful entry:
Code: |
kernel: elogind-daemon[2777]: Suspend key pressed short.
syslog-ng[3001]: Error invoking seek on file; filename='/dev/kmsg', error='Invalid argument (22)'
ModemManager[3890]: <info> [sleep-monitor-systemd] system is about to suspend
elogind-daemon[2777]: Entering sleep state 'suspend'...
kernel: PM: suspend entry (deep)
|
When I use the KDE menu to enter suspend mode, the screen freezes for about 30 seconds (mouse works during that time), and then the session continues normally without lock screen. No further entries in /var/log/messages
I am using lightdm and openrc.
So as a starting point: Is there any location where I can find log files which could give me more information what actually goes wrong (e.g. something like Xorg.0.log for wayland)?
