I am trying hyprland on a new installation on a small minipc with intel cpu/igpu. Kitty is configured with transparent background, where the issue is visible when waybar is launched. It starts showing window borders in the background. The same issue can be replicated with alacritty, so I will assume anything with a transparent background.
Pre waybar (transparent background is fine): https://pasteboard.co/Jkgy2alNjGZE.png

I am not sure if this is the right place to seek help, but I don't see anything wrong in the logs and I couldn't find anything in the Wiki. Any ideas or guidance are appreciated. |

No idea really. You might have more chance of solving it if you ask in Hyprland Cathedral on Discord. Lots of Hyprland devs and users on there... Good luck! |

Although I do notice your waybar output complains of a portal. I remember what it says in The Gentoo Hyprland wiki at https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Hyprland#xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland
I have the following lines in ~/.config/hyprland.conf
Code: | env = XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP,Hyprland
env = XDG_SESSION_TYPE,wayland
env = XDG_SESSION_DESKTOP,Hyprland
exec-once = dbus-update-activation-environment --systemd WAYLAND_DISPLAY XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP
|
That might be it? |
