Hello,
I have problems on my Gentoo install near the initramfs part. I wanted to try out zfs for the first time on this install, so I think the error likely has something to do with that.
Here is the output of Code: | emerge --info '=sys-firmware/intel-microcode-20241112_p20241103::gentoo' | :

It looks like it may be an issue with your uefi-mkconfig config:
Code: |
Running /usr/lib/kernel/postinst.d/95-efistub-uefi-mkconfig.install 6.6.67-gentoo-dist /efi/EFI/Gentoo/vmlinuz-6.6.67-gentoo-dist.efi...
* Updating UEFI configuration...
* Running uefi-mkconfig...
* lsblk can't see PARTTYPE!
* For more information please refer to https://github.com/Biosias/uefi-mkconfig
* uefi-mkconfig failed
*
* The kernel was not deployed successfully. Inspect the failure
* in the logs above and once you resolve the problems please
* run the equivalent of the following command to try again:

Yes I think so, please what should I do? Code: | emerge --config '=sys-kernel/gentoo-kernel-bin-6.6.67:6.6.67' | did not help. |

Have a look at troubleshooting section of readme https://github.com/Biosias/uefi-mkconfig.
Quote: | 1. chroot problems
Sometimes when running uefi-mkconfig from within a chroot, lsblk can cause problems resulting in uefi-mkconfig to not work. (For example when installing Gentoo Linux.) If this happens, make sure that /run is mounted correctly into the chroot. If the problem persits even after mounting /run, exit the chroot, copy configuration from rootfs of the system being installed to the mount point of the LiveCD and run uefi-mkconfig again outside of the chroot. Be sure to have the EFI partition mounted.

It's literally what it tells you to do, BTW. |

See the previous reply by Kaidezee. Your chroot'ing is not correct/complete and therefore lsblk cannot see all information required to make uefi-mkconfig work. _________________ OS: Gentoo 6.10.12-gentoo-dist, ~amd64, 23.0/desktop/plasma/systemd

You are right, my mistake was using arch-chroot instead of classic chroot, thank you very much. But now I've run into another problem: at the end of the ZFS/rootfs guide, I tried exporting the pool, but no matter what I try, it outputs this: Code: | cannot export 'tank': pool is busy | does not return anything, so it does not look like it's even mounted. Please what do I do now? After restarting from this point, I could not boot correctly (and had to redo the installation up to this point), so I suppose this step is critical. returns Code: | lsof: WARNING: can't stat() fuse.portal file system /run/user/1000/doc
Output information may be incomplete. | . |
