Welcome to the forums.
Please explain your problem in more detail. You mention a problem with steam and systemd, but the output is incomplete. You say "please fix it", but it is not clear to whom you are addressing that request. Are you asking for a Gentoo maintainer to make some change to a particular ebuild? Are you advising users who hit this problem to make that change locally? Exactly what change needs to be made, and where? Please describe it in enough detail that someone else could implement it. |

I can't install dev-libs/gobject-introspection because systemd is required, and you can't have 2 init systems _________________ I just moved to gentoo from arch, and I hate gnome for trying to kill choice |

I have dev-libs/gobject-introspection installed on a non-systemd system, and as best I can see, that package does not even recognize USE=systemd as a USE flag. If you need help, please follow Guidelines item #4: show us the full command you ran, and all output it produced. |

Ashton Drye wrote: | unmerging worked | What did you unmerge? Generally, you should not use emerge --unmerge. Use emerge --depclean instead. |

That does not help us understand what changed, so there is little that we can do for you. If you still need help, please provide specific answers. If you no longer need help, please mark this thread as solved. |
