For whatever reason, I woke up today and said: "I really want to mess around with an old version of UNIX, like whatever Brian Kernighan and Denis Ritchie were using when they wrote 'The C Programming Language Second Edition'". Why? No clue, but I found this package called `simh` which looks like it might do the job. Now I just need an OS. Anyone have any recommendations, and better yet, know where I can actually find said recommendation?

Bring out the memory of 3B2 :P

You can try https://vetusware.com/download/UNIX%20SYSVr3%20Source%20Code%20r3/?id=11572.

disclaimer, I don't know anything about the link and did not try myself. I just saw simh support AT&T 3B2 and I know 3B2 run SysV R2/R3 so search internet for the source code.
