Just wondering, I note my
Code:
/usr/share/zoneinfo/leap-seconds.list
has expired 42 days ago.

I note sys-libs/timezone-data is at version 2024-a-r1 and wonder why later versions are masked with the ~amd64 flag?

I can only assume that later versions of this ebuild will address the expired leap-seconds.list file?

Yes, will stable newer timezone-data now. The delay was because of the issue mentioned below:

profiles: unmask new timezone-data

There was no hurry on this as the release contained no important
data changes, but we've had fixed GCC stabled for a while now, so let's
unleash. There's also a new timezone-data release with substantive
changes that I'll package shortly.

Leap Seconds are going away by 2035. Maybe to be replaced by the leap minute?

The next leap second is going to be interesting - it looks like we have to subtract a second for the first time.
