Yes, I reinstalled ugrd using that egit override variable shared earlier. I commented out the config.toml since that seems largely unnecessary now.

I will play with efibootmgr, my best friend ...

In the output did it mention that it detected cryptsetup devices? If you can share the output of `ugrd --print-config` that would help, it may require using a paste service which allows for larger pastes.

Adding a debug to the kernel cmdline only yielded a message pertaining to my GPT header not being right or something.

That looks right, it should be prompting for your LUKS key.

Did you not see any log line saying "starting ugrd" or the kernel version, kernel command line, etc? If not, I'm not sure ugrd is actually running.
