|
|
I'm trying to install rust-1.83.0-r2 from the binhost but it doesn't pick it up. the package is on the binhost but it's not listed in Packages file. Is there some problem with the binhost?
What's more strange is the file /var/cache/edb/binhost/distfiles.gentoo.org/releases/amd64/binpackages/23.0/x86-64-v3/Packages contains the following:
Quote: | PROFILE: default/linux/amd64/17.0/hardened |
Both for the -v3 and the regular repo.
EDIT: https://bugs.gentoo.org/949628
EDIT2: only 15 minutes or so after I filed the bug portage started picking up a binary package for rust. Thank you infra team!
I'm still curious about that profile line though.
Best Regards,
Georgi

I'm guessing that's the profile that the binhost maintainers use to build the binary packages. |

It most definitely isn't. I guess it's some default value which is of no relevance. There's some more information in the bug.
