i just got a new PC recently with 6 core 12 thread 5G hz CPU.
And intel core gpu show as follows in lspci:

Code:
VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation CometLake-H GT2 [UHD Graphics] (rev 05)

I can install ollama with https://ollama.com/install.sh and run some models locally fine, WITHOUT gpu acceleration however.

I want to make use of the intel gpu. Popular article i found and suggested is: https://github.com/intel/ipex-llm/blob/main/docs/mddocs/Quickstart/ollama_quickstart.md

file /opt/intel/oneapi/setvars.sh is called in the document above, but i cannot find this file on my gentoo.

i have packages such as follows installed recently, shown among genlop -l:
Code:

x11-apps/igt-gpu-tools
dev-libs/intel-compute-runtime
dev-util/intel-graphics-compiler
...

shall i follow something like https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/oneapi/installation-guide-linux/2025-0/overview.html ?

I had also tried an intel optimized version of ollama : https://www.modelscope.cn/models/ipexllm/ollama-ipex-llm#linux-%E4%BD%BF%E7%94%A8%E6%8C%87%E5%8D%97

sorry its a Chinese page. When running this version of ollama, i can see ollama-bin process in intel_gpu_top tool, does this mean that the "intel gpu drivers" are already installed?

but i get ollama server error when i ask the model questions: https://pic4.zhimg.com/v2-69f73f7571b090a36fc8352081c16833_r.png

For me this file is part of intel oneapi suite of compilers/libraries which you get from intel.

finally, find the following link which says something about /opt/intel/oneapi :

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/oneapi/installation-guide-linux/2025-0/online-offline-installer-005.html

But i cannot download from the link provided in it:

wget https://registrationcenter-download.intel.com/akdlm/IRC_NAS/5b4aa67a-9679-4d02-865b-137d0f767d82/intel-deep-learning-essentials_2025.0.0.345_offline.sh
Code:

正在连接 registrationcenter-download.intel.com|184.27.185.79|:443... 已连接。

I am not sure whether this is because that i am not registered on the intel site.

I register with my email and send back activation code. Provide my mobile phone number next, but never received the authentication code. I can even get a voice phone call once, but a female voices says something wrong and cannot sign me in :(

I think your link point to a old version no longer available.

You can try this link https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/base-toolkit-download.html?packages=oneapi-toolkit&oneapi-toolkit-os=linux&oneapi-lin=offline

It work for me without registration.

disclaimer, I don't have intel hardware, so I don't know anything about this. Just being curious to see why web download not working.
