The following 8 packages won't build, because of some sort of error with whatever tool they use to generate documentation (they use a whole bunch of different tools, lots of different errors):I'm wondering if there's a way to kill all 8 birds with 1 stone? |

sure, add -doc to /etc/portage/make.conf.
using doc is waste of time and resources, IMHO.

I did that for a while. But I've discovered that having the documentation available offline is sometimes a lifesaver, so I'd rather not go back to that. |

leyvi,
Only USE=doc globally if you are bug hunting.
File bugs with build logs. One bug per package, if there is no bug already.
Set USE=doc on a per package basis, only where you want the documentation.
You will find that its not that simple either. Some packages will build some document formats but not others. They often have per format USE flags./me eyse _________________ Regards,
