MATE/Caja mime type over ssh

Hi, I have a strange situation. If I connect via ssh using caja to another PC, png files end up with unknown mime type (application/octet-stream). JPG files work perfectly.

The first thing I tried was asserting that the mime types was checking that the mime types had the proper png extension and they do.

Now I'm pretty lost on how to allow opening png files remotely.

I do think, although I may not be a great help here, you need to provide some more information.

How do you connect caja with/over ssh?
Is it something like this: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/SSHFS ?
Or you do use remote desktop?

You are right about more information.

I connect via mate "connect to server...", like the first answer on this forum:

I can mount the server via nfs, and images are correctly detected, but nfs does not allow the system to suspend, that's why I prefer other ways.
