searched for ether 88:88:88:88:87:88
seems to be a Bios flash bug https://askubuntu.com/questions/1338578/mac-address-stuck-at-888888888788

Ya I found the same. I am weary about some advice .
I can use the internet but I can not emerge --sync
I will keep searching.
Thanks _________________ Without diversity there can be no evolution:) |

You could use macchanger to change it to something "valid" on every boot, but why do that? Emerge --sync failing is most probably related to something else. |

No, it doesn't. Unless you have a conflict with another device on your LAN, it's just going to paint the grass green.
The grass is dead anyway. Which is a problem during summer, but perfectly fine in winter.
Basically, don't worry about exact numbers. That thing regarding it probably being caused by BIOS flashing gone wrong is much more scary. _________________ Make Computing Fun Again |
