I'm using the gentoo-kernel-bin and am having an interesting time.
Had a working Gentoo before it killed two SSD drives on me, the 1st was the boot disk and when it died - showing 128mb size "cache" I swapped in a spare and the install ate it for breakfast. Didn't complete before it died.
Now I'm on all Spinners and I get no Grub Menu/Splash yet the system boots and I get to a console to log-in
Using a Radeon 5600xt and wonder if the kernel isn't building the right framebuffer.
I had followed the handbook and used the 00video-cards file with entires _________________ AsRock Rack Rome8-2t
AMD Epyc 7282 CPU
256GB of ECC memory
Team Group 1TB Sata M2 for boot |

Do you see the BIOS/UEFI boot display? If not then it is likely booting with the wrong GPU. _________________ OS: Gentoo 6.10.12-gentoo-dist, ~amd64, 23.0/desktop/plasma/systemd
