I'm running gaim-0.75-r8 on my desktop computer. Today I tried to emerge the same version on my notebook. I'm using the same USE flags and have the same version of aspell as on my desktop. The compilation stops with this error:
Code: | libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/libaspell-common.la' |
Now it's true that on my notebook /usr/lib/libaspell-common.la does not exist. The thing is, when I look on my desktop that file isn't there either, yet gaim-0.75-r8 compiled and runs with no problems. How can it be that the same package, version and all, using the same USE flags does this? And of course, what must I do to solve this? Would creating a link to /usr/lib/libaspell.la work? What is /usr/lib/libaspell-common.la? |
