I have a MS Intellimouse (USB) that was working fine for me a few days ago. I was able to do a
Code:

cat /dev/mouse

And get some feedback from it. Running plain ol' X worked fine as well. I compilied Gnome, and now my mouse doesn't work! Trying to 'cat' it again, shows nothing. When I unplug it and plug it back in, the log shows a device but it doesn't show what device it is, where as before it would. The mouse still works in WinXP (32-bit).

Thanks!

Jason

Try setting your mobo BIOS back to factory defaults then reconfigure your BIOS with your required specs.

OK, I figured it out. I had to type:

Code:

modprobe hid

then it works. Any ideas on why this would suddenly need to be loaded manually?
