Hallo Leute!
Zuerst muss ich mal meine Wut los werden:
Windows mach mich WAHNSINNIG!!!
so ... das musste raus ..
Zum Thema: Ich brauche einfach zum Daddeln ab und an mal mein Windows 2000. Deswegen hab ich es auf meiner Festplatte noch rum liegen und boote es bei Bedarf mit Grub.
Meine Partitions-Konfiguration schaut so aus:

Mein Problem ist, dass Windows nach eigenem "gut Dünken" einfach mal so eben die id der hda1 von 83 (ext) auf 93 (Amoeba) ändert (mal abgesehen davon, dass mir Amoeba echt null sagt...). Und der GEIER weiss, was es sich dabei denkt..
Naja.. resultat ist, dasss Grub nicht mehr funktioniert und ich dann mit einer BootCD erst wieder die ID auf 83 umstellen muss...
Frage: Da MUSS es doch ne Möglichkeit geben das zu unterbinden? Sei es in Windows, oder mit Grub irgendwas fummeln... ich weiss doch auch nicht :/
es NERVT nur tierisch ...
Windows suckt echt derbest ...

| kann es sein, dass windows seine startdateien auf hda1 ablegt? ich hatte das gleiche problem. windows hat hda1 als c: angesehen und seinen bootloader und ein paar configs dort gespeichert. probier mal unter windows den laufwerksbuchstaben für hda1 zu entfernen. dann sieht windows zwar die partition aber dürfte sie nicht mehr ändern. |

die Idee hatte ich auch schon und hab das letztes schon probiert
aber trotzdem fummelt mir Gates da leider dran rum als wäre es sein eigenes System
mag aber dennoch sein, dass Deine Bemerkung stimmt. Vielleicht versucht Windows da immer was zu schreiben oder sowas... hmm...
notfalls könnt ich die Bootpartition für Linux ja auch fat machen, obwohl mir bei dem Gedanken eigentlich sonstwas hoch kommt... |

Hilft dir zwar direkt nicht weiter, aber was solls?
Seit meinen Suse-Tagen (schon lange her  ) hab ich als wichtige Faustregel beim Platte partitionieren im Kopf (klar gibts noch andere):
Erst Windoof (hda1) , dann das gute. Hab ich vielleicht sogar aus den Suse-Handbüchern

Ausnahmsweise ist Windows 'mal unschuldig, die hide-Anweisung verändert den Partitionstyp, lass sie einfach weg.
