Does anyone know of any programs or any way to monitor UPSs?
I have a Cyber Power 900 plugged into Com1 (Serial 1).

Emerge nut.

Edit /etc/nut/ups.conf as:

Code:
[UPS]
driver=cyberpower
port=/dev/ttyS0
desc="CyberPower UPS"

Should work like that.

Woooooo hoooooo !!!!!!

It installs. I have been trying to find software that will work with this UPS for months, ever since I switched to Gentoo from Mandrake.

Now to test the shutdown and such. This is getting better though.

I had to give up on powstatd. It's not in portage and I could not get it to work/install. I tried to get original programer to put in portage but no luck.

Let's see if this thing works.

Love that search feature. Found somebody trying to do the same as me.

OK. It monitors fine but how do you get it to shutdown after a certain amount of time? It just sits there.

I have been looking in the config files but nothing jumps out at me yet. What am I missing?

I need it to do this because I may not be here when power fails. I wish I could get powstatd to work.

Any ideas guys?? Trying not to start a new thread here.

Thanks
