|
|
I'm trying to get to into www.bonnaroo.com ...and very annoyingly they do no not have a
a non-flash site. I could rant and rave all day about flash sites that dont have a text or html alternative...but it wont do me any good. I need Flash > 6.0 to view the site.
Apparently the plugin for linux offered on macromedia's site is a binary distrobution
built for x86 hardware (Binary distrobutions Suck!!! )...of course that wont work
here on my ibook. All the portage ebuilds are masked...probably for the same reason...though I
cant tell
Does any one have any idea if I can install flash or am I out of luck?
Maybe there is a source code distrobution? _________________ Jason Remley |

Many Thanks Suicidal...I can at least keep an eye on development.
I'd rather have an open source package anyway
I guess for now I'll just have to visit that website at my desktop. _________________ Jason Remley |

How limited is gentoo on the ppc I have a g4 collecting dust at work that I would like to try a few things on. Mainly apache, snort, prelude and probably rsyncd since it would be in the same room as my T1 lines. |

It's really not that limited. I'm very happy that Gentoo is running on my G3 iBook2. Hell I haven't used OS X in months. _________________ It is the fate of operating systems to become free.

Thanks for the info, I have gentoo ppc up and running on a G4 right now.
I see alot of packages that arent marked for ppc use but seem to compile fine on it, after I add ppc to the keywords.
So far I have got snort, prelude and nessus to install, whether they actually run reliably is another story. I am in the process of configuring all of them for some good healthy network monitoring, I'll update with the results. |
