I installed Gentoo on a new laptop this week, and during the installation I've encountered a couple packages that have failed to build with the following error:
Code: | >>> Preparing source in /var/tmp/portage/app-arch/snappy-1.1.2-r1/work/snappy-1.1.2 ...
* ERROR: app-arch/snappy-1.1.2-r1::gentoo failed (prepare phase):
* default_src_prepare() is not supported in EAPI='5' in phase src_prepare
|
Is this a known issue or a problem with specific packages? |

Looks like the regression in portage-2.2.13. I've just package.masked it due to regressions. We should have a fixed release out very soon.
Downgrade to a previous release and it should be fine. _________________ Brian

Thanks, yeah, running 2.2.12 seems to have fixed it for now. |
