Hi there,
I've installed yet another Gentoo on an Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS host through QEMU-KVM (2.0.0) and it's working great.
But I'm having trouble to run the VM at the native resolution of my screen (1440x900), I'm apparenlty blocked at 1280x720 which isn't bad but not totally confortable.
In order to get 1280x720, I've just added
to my /etc/X11/xorg.conf ( generated by X -configure ) , If I add 1440x900 instead there's apparently a fallback to 1280x720
I'm invoking qemu with these options :
Code: | -smp2 -enable-kvm -m 1024 -vga std -usbdevice tablet -display sdl -no-frame |
Is there someone running something similar out here ? Any help is welcome !

Have you tried to set up the guest using Spice & QXL? I think you'll have a better graphics experience with that approach as opposed to standard VGA. Take a look at the following link:
