I use i3. It is light and it blends into my workflow so perfectly I forget I am using a WM at all. _________________ First things first, but not necessarily in that order.
Apologies if I take a while to respond. I'm currently working on the dematerialization circuit for my blue box. |

I wanted to include a lot of WM in the poll, but it is not possible _________________ https://gentoo.curl.pink

Is Compiz a WM? I thought it was a backend for others. |

Guess I'll toss in the obligatory MATE vote. Although I do have installs using KDE, LXDE and some others from time to time. Probably need to give XFCE a re-spin. Has been a few years. |

Started out with gnome 1.* and early 2.*.
Went to xfce but didn't like the fact that they were aligning themselves too closely with gnome.
Next was lxde (good suite) but decided that I didn't really need a suite or DE.
So now I'm on openbox with lxpanel. Works for me. _________________ PRIME x570-pro, 3700x, 6.1 zen kernel

I use icewm, and have xfce for my wife.
It looks to me as if icewm has pretty much languished, but I haven't taken time yet to find an alternative. I played with E17, but none of the nifty E add-ons worked, and it acted like a slightly glitchy window manager for me, so I tossed it. _________________ .sigs waste space and bandwidth |

KDE here since KDE3.4. Before that the gnome that came with the first Ubuntus, but there was much I didn't like about the UI Design of the gnome project.
Used some fluxbox and openbox on the side but never got warm with it. I need the comfort and ease of a full DE.
I am also using Lxqt (btw@TO: razor-qt is now lxqt and lxde is dead) together with most KDE Apps on an old Acer aspire one that is too weak to power a full KDE. |

Icewm should be recoded in C++ so that it can be customized better. A design document would help too. |

FVWM-Crystal most of the time, Window Maker on the kitchen computer, and I'm going to install a PC for my dad with LXQT.

Wouldn't <<puts on sunglasses>> blender be a better choice there?
