it's only a matter of taste - the both systems are equal.
I run both, on different computers - although the packagesystem in gentoo really kicks ass
Slackware is installed in like 20 minutes, and if anything goes seriously wrong, you can always reinstall it in 20 minutes.
It can take days to get a gentoo-system equal the default slackware installation, but if anything goes wrong, you don't reinstall - you fix the problem, because you are to lame to do the several-day-installation again _________________ Computer science is no more about computers than astronomy is about telescopes. |

Come on, you can do better. Find one of the thousand threads where Gentoo is compared to other distros and continue the discussion there.
