|
|
I installed gentoo distro without problems but the first time i turn on my computer ethernet module can't be loaded.
At the beginning of installation phase i didn't have problems to load ethernet module using:
modprobe 8390
In my modules.autoload there are one line with the name of the module to load it.
But this is the message error when linux initialize:
Can't locate module 8390
i've the file 8390.o in /usr/src/linux???/driver/net/8390.o
Someone had this problem before?
thanks for all |

Try compiling it into the kernel since it's something you'll definitely always be using? If you didn't compile it as a module in the first place, you'd get this error (ie. you already compiled it into the kernel or not at all). |
