How do I set the background color of meld? I am not a Gnome user (although I do have the gnome libraries). I guess it would be adding a setting in /usr/share/meld/meld.css OR ~/.config/meld/meldrc.ini ??? |

Maybe https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Meld/DarkThemes https://git.gnome.org/browse/meld/tree/data
I didn't immediately find a way to get it without editing main meld.css under package manager control, but hopefully there is one. If there is, best to import the main one and then add your overrides, like meld-dark.css in the last link does. _________________ GNOME team lead; GStreamer; MIPS/ARM64 |

Leio: thanks for the reply.
Using meld.css I seem to be able to change the color of many meld highlighting and other items, but not the background. I also searched the source for white, and after filtering out 'white space', I didn't get much.
still looking .... |

The background probably comes from a key that GtkSourceView and/or GtkTextView also use (I think GtkSourceview gets used when you turn on syntax highlighting, but maybe also always). Let others know here once you find it, if someone stumbles on this thread in the future when looking for it too _________________ GNOME team lead; GStreamer; MIPS/ARM64 |
