Volevo sapere se per compilare vanilla-sources, occorre che gcc venga ricompilato con la flag "vanilla" o se son cose che non c'entrano l'una con l'altra; idem per glibc.

per "vanilla" si intende che per quei pacchetti non vengono applicate patch dai devs di gentoo.
dovrebbero essere nude e crude come gli sviluppatori ufficiali le rilasciano.
Gentoo offre ampia scelta alle personalizzazioni (ove possibile)

E pensa che ho sempre fatto l'erborista quindi vendevo anche i baccelli di Vanilla planifolia "Bourbon"
